Privacy Policy
Last updated: 10/14/2026
This policy explains what information BookMe1 collects, why, and how you can control it. The party responsible for the information is the operator of the Service, a sole proprietor registered in Israel ("BookMe1", "we"). The business registration number, address and phone number are provided privately on request by email to support@bookme1.com.
1. Information we collect
We collect business sign-up details (business name, email, phone, logo), end-customer booking details (name, phone, email if given, booking time), and - only when a business owner connects them - access tokens for their Google or Microsoft account: for the calendar, and for Google Sheets when they use the export or the Sheets customer list.
2. How we use the information
- Showing real-time availability based on the business's connected calendar.
- Creating an event in the business's calendar when a booking is made, and updating or deleting it when the booking is moved or cancelled.
- Sending confirmation and reminder messages by email and WhatsApp.
- Automatically answering customers' questions based on the Q&A the business owner entered.
- Processing subscription payments via PayPal.
- Exporting statistics or a customer list to a new Google Sheet, and reading an allowed-customers list from a Google Sheet the business owner chose.
- Adding the Gmail address a business owner entered to the Google Play testers list and sending them the testing links - only if they chose to join testing of the BookMe1 Android app.
3. Google user data
When a business owner signs in with Google, or connects Google Calendar or Google Sheets, BookMe1 accesses only the data needed for the feature they turned on:
- Google account: name, email address and profile picture, to create and sign in to the BookMe1 account.
- Google Calendar: we create an event for each booking, update or delete it when the booking changes, and read free/busy times so customers can't book when the owner is busy. When a staff member is added, BookMe1 can create a separate calendar for them in the same Google account. We don't read the content of other events in the calendar.
- Google Sheets: an export creates a new spreadsheet in the owner's Google Drive. For an allowed-customers list, the owner picks one sheet in Google's own file window, and BookMe1 can open only that sheet; it only reads (never changes) the name, phone and email columns. BookMe1 can access only files it created or the owner picked.
BookMe1's use and transfer to any other app of information received from Google APIs will adhere to the Google API Services User Data Policy, including the Limited Use requirements. Google API Services User Data Policy
We don't sell Google user data, don't use it for advertising, don't send it to our AI provider and don't use it to train AI models. Our team doesn't read it, except with the business owner's permission for support, for security, or where the law requires it.
Google Calendar and the customer sheet can be disconnected at any time in the dashboard (this revokes BookMe1's access), or at myaccount.google.com/permissions. Stored tokens are deleted when disconnecting and when the account is deleted.
4. Service providers
We share information only with the service providers needed to run the system: Google (Calendar, Sheets) and Microsoft Graph (calendar), Telnyx (WhatsApp messages), an email server (SMTP), PayPal (subscription payments), Anthropic (the AI assistant that answers customers' questions - it receives only the question and the business's Q&A), and Google Tag Manager (visit statistics on the BookMe1 website). We do not sell personal information to anyone.
5. Data security
Passwords are stored hashed. The admin area is protected by sign-in, and the site works over HTTPS only. Google and Microsoft access tokens are stored on the server only and are never exposed in the browser.
6. Cookies
The site uses cookies and browser storage that it cannot work without: signing in, language, display settings and remembering your cookie choice. In addition, the BookMe1 website loads Google Tag Manager for visit statistics. Statistics and advertising cookies are stored only after you accept them in the cookie notice; without consent, Google tags run without storing cookies. You can change your choice at any time with the "Cookie settings" link at the bottom of the page. BookMe1's statistics tools are not loaded at all on businesses' booking pages.
The home page shows an intro video from YouTube, through YouTube's reduced-cookie version (youtube-nocookie.com). The video loads when it appears on screen and starts playing without sound; sound starts only after you press the sound button. Once the video loads, YouTube (Google) receives technical data such as your IP address and browser details and may store information in your browser, under Google's privacy policy (policies.google.com/privacy).
Calculator pages may show ads from an outside ad network, such as Google AdSense. The ad code loads only after you accept cookies in the cookie notice. Once it loads, the ad network receives technical data such as your IP address and browser details, and may store cookies to show and measure ads, under its own privacy policy (Google's: policies.google.com/technologies/ads). Without your consent no ad code loads, and a BookMe1 banner that stores no cookies is shown instead. You can withdraw consent at any time with the "Cookie settings" link. The change applies from the next page load, and cookies already stored can be deleted in your browser settings. The calculations run in your browser, and BookMe1 does not send what you enter to anyone.
The "Recommended tools" section on calculator pages contains affiliate links, and they are marked as such. When you click one, the partner's site may store its own cookie to know you came from BookMe1. If you buy there, we may earn a commission at no extra cost to you. BookMe1 does not pass any personal details to the partner, and what happens on the partner's site is governed by its own privacy policy.
7. How long we keep information
While the subscription is active, the information is kept to run the Service. After the subscription is cancelled, the account and the business data are kept for up to 12 months (so you can come back and continue) and are then deleted. You can delete the account at any time before that. Copies in server backups are deleted within 90 days at most. Receipts and payment records are kept by the payment and invoicing providers as required by law, usually for up to 7 years.
8. Your rights
You may contact us at any time to request access to, correction of, or deletion of personal information, and to cancel your subscription via the cancellation page. Cancel subscription
You can also delete your account and all of your business data, from Settings or by email. Full details here: Delete your BookMe1 account
