How to find a Google Calendar ID
Does a staff member already have a Google Calendar? Paste its ID into BookMe1, and all their bookings land straight in the calendar they already use. Two minutes and you’re done.

Open Google Calendar on a computer
Go to calendar.google.com. The ID only shows on the website on a computer, not in the phone app.
-
Open the calendar’s settings
On the side, under "My calendars", hover over the calendar, click the three dots ⋮ and choose "Settings and sharing".
-
Copy the Calendar ID
Scroll down to "Integrate calendar". Under "Calendar ID" you’ll see an address: select it and copy it. For the main calendar it’s the Gmail address; for any other calendar it ends in @group.calendar.google.com.
-
Calendar owned by another Google account? Share it
On the same page, under "Shared with", click "Add people and groups", add the email of the Google account connected to BookMe1, choose "Make changes and see all event details" and send. Without this, we can’t add bookings to the calendar.
-
Paste it into BookMe1
In the dashboard → "Staff", paste it into the "Google Calendar ID" field and click "Add staff member". Already on the list? Click "Edit" on their row, paste it and click "Save".
💡 Good to know
- The ID only works when Google Calendar is connected to BookMe1. Not connected yet? Start with the guide "How to connect Google Calendar or Outlook".
- No calendar of their own? Leave the field empty and BookMe1 creates a new Google Calendar for them automatically.
- There's a shorter way: connect the staff member's own Google account and pick the calendar from a list, no ID to copy. See "How to connect a staff member's own calendar".
- Copy the ID exactly as it is, with no spaces at the start or end.
❓ FAQ
Why use an existing calendar at all?
Bookings go into the calendar the staff member already checks on their phone, and their private events block those hours on the booking page.
I pasted the ID, but bookings don’t show up in the calendar. What should I check?
That the calendar is shared with the Google account connected to BookMe1, with "Make changes and see all event details", and that the whole ID was pasted. Still stuck? Write to us at support@bookme1.com.
Our business uses Google Workspace. Does that change anything?
Inside the same organization you share the exact same way. To share with an account outside the organization, your Workspace admin may need to allow it.
